Over 18 years of industry experience. Currently heading sales and business development team of NSE Indices and NSE Data & Analytics. NSE Indices is the leading Indian index provider. Nifty 50 is the flagship index. Prior to joining NSE, Rohit was working as Product Manager and Investment Strategist at ArthVeda's equities vertical. He worked closely with new product development team and sales team to keep the existing products competitive and launch new world class investment products based on market demand.
Prior to joining Arthveda Fund Management, he has spent more than 4 years at MSCI as an Index Specialist covering UK and Benelux based Asset Managers. He has specialist knowledge of global indices including construction, methodology and customization as well as alternately-weighted indexes and risk-premia based asset allocation. On a daily basis, he was interacting with senior passive fund managers from Europe to discuss the implementation of complex corporate events and its impact on the portfolio. He was also responsible for mentoring and training his team to take on higher responsibilities.
Before MSCI, he has also worked as a buy side analyst for Liberty Harbor, LLC (a Goldman Sachs hedge fund based out of Singapore) covering companies across different sectors including metals and mining, real estate and telecom, across US, Asia-Pacific and Middle East. Part of his role was to generate investment ideas for the fund managers by using wide range of research.
Rohit has done his B.Tech in Mechanical engineering from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee and MBA from Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT) in Finance. He has also cleared both the levels of FRM (Financial Risk Management).
