I'm on a mission to make people feel more comfortable with getting weeknight dinners on the table and entertaining friends. Motivated by finding happy solutions for cooking for my family, I created The Mom 100 blog and my first cookbook, The Mom 100 Cookbook, which Cooking Light named one of the top 100 books of the past 25 years. Dinner Solved followed, which Ina Garten called “A stunningly good book for busy parents.”
I write the popular “Cooking on Deadline” column for the AP and am a frequent contributor to national publications and food forums. With my “friend hanging out with you in your kitchen” vibe, I regularly appear on radio, television, and streaming video such as NPR’s All Things Considered, The Today Show, Access Hollywood Live, and Craftsy.com. I also develop content and recipes for brands like World Market Cost Plus, GE Appliances, Nestlé, and Bob’s Red Mill.
I've been on the board of City Harvest for 14 years and have been actively involved with Share our Strength for 26.
I LOVE GETTING BEHIND BRANDS THAT EXCITE ME.
I help select marketing partners connect with customers and new audiences in ways that are authentic for their brands. My clients value my compelling writing voice and the editorial and marketing sensibility I bring to every project. I started her career at Random House’s Clarkson Potter Imprint steering projects for companies like Tabasco, Stonyfield yogurt, and Pillsbury.
IT'S JUST COOKING!
My relaxed way of demystifying food and willingness to share things like what my boys really think of quinoa have made me a well-regarded and relatable influencer. I enjoy answering questions and providing encouragement and techniques to make my followers feel successful in the kitchen—in whatever form that takes. Although I won BlogHer’s Voices of the Year award and earned an IACP nomination, what’s most important to me is direct feedback like, "I made your chicken piccata, and now my mother-in-law looks at me with newfound respect!"
