With over 20 years of experience in investment management, Joe is a seasoned professional and business owner who leads and executes innovative strategies. He is a co-founder and the chief investment officer at NovaPoint Capital, a registered investment adviser firm that manages investment portfolios for a diverse range of clients, including high net worth individuals, family offices, corporations, pensions, endowments, and foundations. He is also a co-founder at 550 Capital Partners, an early-stage venture capital firm that invests in startups led by military veterans with a focus on medical technology, health & wellness, and human productivity.
Joe is both a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and a Chartered Market Technician (CMT). He is the architect and the lead portfolio manager of the NovaPoint Large Cap Dividend Growth Strategy, which has been recognized as a three-year Top Guns Award winner by Informa Investment Solutions and was selected as 2019 Large Cap Manager of the Year by Emerging Manager Monthly. He also leverages his industry analysis skills and entrepreneurial mindset to identify and support promising ventures that have the potential to transform and improve lives.
Joe is passionate about giving back to the veteran community and helping other veterans succeed in their careers and businesses. He helped found the Atlanta chapter of Bunker Labs, a national network of veteran and military spouse entrepreneurs, and currently serves as the treasurer of the U.S. Army Ranger Association, a non-profit organization that supports the Ranger community and preserves its heritage. He is also an ordained minister at the Church of the Latter-Day Dude.
