September 15, 2008, marked the climax of the subprime mortgage crisis with the bankruptcy of Lehman Brothers. Just one month later, my second child was born. The birth of a child during one of the worst recessions on record can give any confident parent cause for concern. To make things even more complicated, my son was born with Down Syndrome. In the months following his birth, it became clear to me that my financial future was more than just planning for my lifetime but also for my son, who will need ongoing financial support throughout his life. I knew getting my financial house in order and educating myself on financial planning matters would be a priority. That road ultimately led me to decide to become a financial advisor in 2011.
Since then, I have built a successful business, serving families and business owners around the United States, with many located in the Monadnock Region. It has been a privilege to help so many outstanding individuals get their financial plans in order, addressing their retirement needs, college savings plans, insurance needs, and estate and tax strategies. I take great satisfaction in helping clients navigate their financial futures with confidence and clarity, building strong relationships of mutual trust and understanding.
I grew up in Sanford, Maine, in a sports-loving family. My dad coached most of our youth teams growing up, and I eventually went on to play professional soccer. That work ethic to become the best has never left me, and I still have the same drive and enthusiasm to be the best financial advisor for my clients today.
My wife, Heather, is our Client Relationship Manager. We have four children: Jack, Isabel, Azalea, and Skye. My family means the world to me! We live in the Monadnock region, which is absolutely beautiful with its mountains, lakes, and forests. It's a small community where everyone knows everyone—I joke that it's two degrees of separation!
I stay very active, playing soccer, tennis, squash, and skiing. I also play classical guitar and enjoy custom furniture making—I even received my technical certificate in woodworking from the College of Southern Idaho.
I'm also the assistant coach for the Keene High School Unified soccer team, Coalition and Food Box Coordinator for Monadnock Understands Childhood Hunger (MUCH), and just recently completed my role as Board Chair for MoCo.
