Thrilled to advance a brand new kind of global climate finance that is also demand-driven, globally institutionalized, cross-sector, and thankfully cross-generational ! Working nearly twenty years in-and-around Washington, DC my professional focus has evolved from advising on public policy, to implementing University strategic initiatives, to envisioning incentivized Sustainable GRE-SaaS platforms. Beginning in mid-1990’s I served the US government at both Federal and State levels ~ first as Legislative Assistant to then Rep. Ted Strickland, whom later became Ohio’s Democratic Governor; and later as a Civil Servant in the US Treasury‘s Office of General Counsel. As an outcome I acquired deep knowledge of Federal & practical skills to define, influence, communicate, & shape public policy outcomes. Near expertise includes: climate change finance, policy and fluency; banking international relations; global energy; taxes budget terrorism financial intelligence, national security. Also I served on a four-person team overseeing US Treasury Department’s response to the 9/11 Commission. Following this I was Director of Strategic Initiatives for Johns Hopkins University. Here I led a range of high-profile projects demanding institutional research, personnel management, programmatic lead & budgeting, governmental affairs advocacy, & C-Suite communications to progress thought leadership. My remit included advising on hiring senior staff to maximize synergies between three professional teams focusing on Community Development, Government Relations, and University Public Affairs. Optimizing efficiency was key to ensuring three years of quarterly reports to the Johns Hopkins University President and Provost; the JH-Medicine CEO; & two Boards of Directors. In 2010, I founded Lake Climate Group LLC ~ the climate finance and policy consultancy based in Minneapolis, progressing a cosmopolitan/UN+/patchwork approach to global carbon finance. Since 2014 my focus has been data-driven Sustainable Accounting for Business Intelligence, utilizing the GRE-SaaS trading platform to integrate #ESG with real-time fiscal operating performance touching an AI-smart algorithm.less
