John Egan is the Managing Director and Partner of Egan Wealth Advisors. With a deep background in financial services, John specializes in the development of personalized, goals-based wealth management strategies for individuals, families, business owners and corporations.
John founded J.M. Egan Wealth Advisors, LLC, more than 25 years ago to provide comprehensive financial and wealth planning for strategies for clients. The practice, which proudly serves more than 250 families in 15 states, was acquired by Hightower in 2016.
John earned his Bachelor of the Arts degree in Business Administration from Saint Michael’s College. He holds the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) designation, as well as various security licenses and a life/health insurance license. John is a Registered Investment Advisor Representative and a member of many professional organizations, including the Financial Planning Association and Society of Financial Service Professionals.
A New Jersey native, John is active in the local community. Currently, John serves on the Board of Trustees of the Hartley Dodge Foundation in Madison, NJ. He is past President and board member of the Madison Chamber of Commerce, as well as a former member of both the Downtown Development Commission and the Madison Historic Preservation Commission. John served for nine years on the Morristown-Beard School Board of Trustees, and he is a former member of the Business Advisory Board of Hilltop Community Bank of Summit, New Jersey. John remains involved in numerous charitable organizations.
John lives in Madison, New Jersey with his wife, Susan. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family, tennis, boating, skiing, relaxing at the Jersey Shore and renovating his historic home.
