Since 2017, I've become a documentary filmmaker as well as a freelance journalist. I'm currently working on a documentary examining why thousands of hasidic schoolchildren graduate every year not knowing the basics of math, science, history or English. My other project is a book and documentary about the 1963 cold-case assassination of Ben Lewis, who represented the all-black 24th Ward in the Chicago City Council. Lewis was found on the floor of his office, handcuffed, with three bullets in his head. The book and documentary examine the racial and political conflicts in the ward and present new evidence identifying his murderers.less
