Rather than endure the ups and downs of the financial markets, My team and I help our clients exploit & capitalize on market volatility by implementing institutionally-proven risk-thoughtful strategies to accomplish their unique goals. My passion is helping people “level up” and rise to the challenges ahead.
EXPERIENCE:
My first 7 years in finance were spent trading options on the floors of both the Chicago and Pacific Exchanges. I managed portfolios for the next 7 years at Barclays Global Investors on the initial iShares Capital Markets team; later moving to the Institutional Portfolio Management team. In 2007, I began an 8-year emerging global markets project with Princeton’s Burton Malkiel (author of the classic, "A Random Walk Down Wall Street"). In 2015, I consulted on 3 projects with firms producing 6 of ETF.com’s “15 Most Important ETFs”.
Community and pro-bono work also energize my primary mission. I’ve coached 35+ seasons for youth sports teams and serve as a ASM for the Boy Scouts of America. I teach CFA Exam Review courses and volunteer for the CFA-SF Continuing Education committee while also mentoring 5 finance professionals in the CFA Mentoring program. I am also a longtime Toastmasters member. As a father of a daughter, I have developed a special interest in empowering women of all ages to take control of their financial lives.
