Consultant and former journalist with 30 years' experience of Asia, spanning general, political, economic and technology issues. Focus now on high quality sponsored content, thought leadership and messaging.
Based in Asia since 1987, I was staff reporter and editor for Reuters, the BBC, The Wall Street Journal and the Far Eastern Economic Review. I've lived in four Asian countries and worked in more than 14.
I have consulted for a range of clients, from newspapers to The Carter Center.
Between 2000 and 2008 I wrote a weekly column on technology for the WSJ and (up until its shift in format in 2004) the Review. I also record a brief weekly slot for the BBC's World Service.
I have published a collection of my columns in book form, called Loose Wire, which is available on Amazon.
