Lithium ion battery packs are great because of their energy density. But if you need static battery pack, you do not need energy density. Probably you can have the same 10kW storage using lead acid technology for less than $1000.
Your Retirement Plan Is Probably Wrong
I don't believe my retirement plan is wrong. During the last 20 years I earned apartment in the city, big house in the country side, have recession proof business, life insurance and some investment in the mutual funds. All at all sounds good to me.
