I was the Founder and CEO of High Pointe Capital Management, a firm that managed global equity and multi-asset portfolios for institutional and high net worth clients.
Before starting High Pointe, I was an investment consulting practice leader for Hewitt Associates (now Aon). In this capacity, I worked with numerous Fortune 100 clients including John Deere, Verizon, Citibank, Target, Sprint, Motorola and Safeway.
For two years, I taught an investments course in the MBA program at Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management.
My commitment to achieving and spreading excellence in financial education is reflected in my volunteer work for the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) profession. My commitment included serving on the Board of Directors of CFA Chicago for six years including as Chairman of the Board. I also served a three-year term as a member of the Board of Regents for CFA Institute’s Financial Analysts Seminar and Chaired the Education Committee of the local chapter for three years.
I have written and published articles on various investment topics in publications such as Pension Investment Handbook, Pension World, and Enterprising Investor. I have given talks on global investing at the National Association of Securities Professionals and National Consulting Actuaries Conference. Press mentions include Reuters, CNN, Fox Business, BBC, National Public Radio, and Chicago Tribune, and multiple profiles in The Wall Street Transcript.
My research and speaking engagements were wide ranging topics and included Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) investing. I have presented my ESG research at CFA Chicago, Washington University in St. Louis, and at the Impact Investing Conference. This research has been recognized and profiled in a publication by United Nations PRI and CFA Institute.
