A recognized thought leader in the payments vertical of financial technology, Ernest has launched or incubated several financial technology businesses including prepaid, commercial payments, merchant services, P2P lending, and crowd funding.
Ernest is CEO and founder of Finexio, the only AP “Payments as a Service” company.
Prior, Ernest was Vice President, Corporate Alliances at Emdeon where he identified and developed unique partnership opportunities at a leading provider of revenue and payment cycle management and clinical information exchange solutions. He spent most of his time focused on payments and big data analytics.
Previously, Ernest was a member of the US Market Development Emerging Verticals team at MasterCard where was responsible for driving innovative products and solutions to meet the needs of the Healthcare ecosystem. He is recognized within the payments industry as an expert in prepaid and debit cards, commercial payments, and payment card issuers.
Prior to MasterCard, Ernest was a founding member of Ernst&Young's West Coast Working Capital Advisory Services practice where he partnered with leading Fortune 500 companies to identify areas of improvement in the cash conversion cycle, as well as developing and implementing programs to release cash, improve service, and reduce costs.
Ernest graduated with a BA in History from New York University in Manhattan, NY. He also holds a MSc in International Public Policy with a specialization in International Political Economy from University College London in London, England. His graduate dissertation was on the economic development of Dubai. Passionate about language and travel, Ernest studied in Italy twice during his undergraduate work, interned at the Italian Embassy to the US in Washington DC, and is conversational in Italian.
