Erik Liik is a Financial Services/Asset Management Executive and ETF industry veteran experienced in all aspects of distribution, issuance and operations of ETFs.

Erik served as CEO of FocusShares an ETF issuer, which he co-founded in 2007 and sold to Scottrade in 2010.
Erik played a key role in the launch of the first ETFs providing access to international country-specific indexes (WEBS now iShares MSCI). Erik was recruited to develop and direct sales and marketing plan for 17 country-specific Exchange Traded Funds known as World Equity Benchmark Shares (WEBS). As National Sales Director, he successfully led efforts , doubling assets each year for 4 years. Raised over $3 billion in AUM in 4 years.
In May of 2000 Erik co-authored with FRC (Financial Research Corporation) “The Future of Exchange Traded Funds” a groundbreaking, insightful, and accurate analysis of the opportunities and challenges that the ETF product structure provides to both investor and issuer. The 150 page study clearly identified the ETF market opportunity and accurately projected the asset growth that ETF market has experienced in terms of products, issuers and assets since 2000.
As a key member of the American Stock Exchange's (Amex's) ETF Marketplace, Erik advised asset management firms on ETF issues including product development, distribution and marketing. Erik was instrumental in working with the SEC to approve 19b-4 listing rules to allow for the listing and trading of leveraged and inverse ETFs
Erik also played a critical role in the development and execution of Amex's global cross-listing initiatives with the Singapore Exchange and EuroNext Amsterdam. Erik served as Board Director of the Amex/Singapore Stock Exchange Joint Venture Company from 2002 to 2006.
