I find most investors either take too much risk or not enough. My focus is on you and your goals. At Merrill we practice Goals Based Wealth Management (GBWM) and your personal goals drive our investment recommendations. This contrasts with traditional brokers who base their advice on how they predict the market will perform over the next few months or years. An integral aspect of my practice is to listen intently to the questions my clients ask. I do this not only so I can answer in a thoughtful and respectful manner, but it also informs me of where their concerns lie. I am a teacher at heart and love to help other people learn. I have extensive experience in the financial services industry and this is important to you because I use everything I know to help you be successful. I worked for over 30 years on Wall Street as a Research Analyst, Salesperson, Trader and Manager with some of the best firms in the industry including Lehman Brothers, First Boston, Swiss Bank and UBS. In these positions I was based all over the world including in New York, Tokyo, London, Chicago, and San Francisco. In terms of formal training and experience I became a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charterholder in 2001.
