Apple: Analyzing It With Owner Earnings And Free Cash Flow
8 years ago

"The secret to Apple’s success comes from the fact that the company makes products that people love to own..." depends on which demographic you refer. Professionals that use Apple have been up in arms since the introduction of Yosemite - Apple's poor attempt at snycing its devices to each other and iCloud. To do so they made major changes and or eliminated many of the former very popular programs used by large numbers of professions - particularly iWeb and iPhoto. There was no replacement for iWeb and iPhoto replacement Photos - has been a nightmarish disaster for users who maintained large libraries in iPhoto. and or who depended on the straightforward photo editing tools in iPhoto - now totally different or missing all together. The tax on user's time and its poor transition to these changes has put off many of its professional users - and many of whom owned large blocks of Apple stock. I had one associate who in his frustration with Apples disregard of their professional users - sold several thousand shares in Apple. One publisher I know went back to an MS platform after having converted to Apple. While the non-professional Apple fan boys are still abundant as always, I think Apple's bet on device syncing, social media longevity, and iCloud space rental business model will backfire. The first major user data hack of iCloud is going leave Apple in severe sales income straights with no functional non-iCloud based applications.
