I am President of Northern Trust Asset Management, the $1T AUM global investment management business of Northern Trust, and a member of the corporate Executive Management Group, responsible for developing long-term strategy, executing operating plans, delivering investment performance, cultivating client relationships, managing vendor relationships and developing talented professionals. Northern Trust Asset Management is composed of Northern Trust Investments, Inc., Northern Trust Global Investments Limited, Northern Trust Fund Managers (Ireland) Limited, Northern Trust Global Investments Japan, K.K., NT Global Advisors, Inc., 50 South Capital Advisors, LLC, Northern Trust Asset Management Australia Pty Ltd, and investment personnel of The Northern Trust Company of Hong Kong Limited and The Northern Trust Company. Previously, I was Co-Head of Fundamental Equities and member of BlackRock's Global Operating, Portfolio Management Group Executive and Human Capital Committees. Past Board Chair of CFA Institute Board. Co-founder and co-chair of Somos network, BlackRock's community of Latinx employees & allies. As co-head of Fundamental Equities, I turned around business representing ~15% of BLK’s revenues from double-digit decline in 2016 to double-digit growth in 2020-2022. Responsible for business strategy, P&L, investment performance and talent across US, Europe, Global, Emerging Markets, Hedge Funds, Thematic & Sectors, and Sustainability strategies. Previously, I was co-head of iShares US and head of Americas Institutional, having led business strategy and execution of iShares US ETFs, experiencing growth from ~$300bn to over $1 trillion in AUM. From 2004-2010, I was CEO of Latin America acquired $3 billion fund, and hired 80+ people. Began career as Director of Strategy working for BGI's CEO, was a consultant at A.T. Kearney, and worked at the Procter & Gamble Co. I served as Chair of the Board of CFA Institute, a 170,000-member organization, having served as Chair of Audit and Risk, Nominations and Vice Chair from 2015-2022. I have been board member for Northwestern’s Alumni Association. I worked with mutual fund and 401K pension plan boards.
