Financial Services Expert with extensive experience developing, leading and implementing: strategy, marketing, product, business development and operations teams. He provides investment managers around the globe with accurate, advice, guidance and support to help them grow and expand their business.
Daniel Strachman has been working on Wall Street for more than twenty-five years in various capacities, including investment management, institutional brokerage, hedge fund and mutual fund product development, marketing, distribution and administration.
He currently serves as Managing Director of A&C Advisors LLC, a strategic consulting firm focused on the global investment management industry. Mr. Strachman also serves as a director to both on-shore and off-shore investment vehicles.
He has worked at firms including Morgan Stanley, Cantor Fitzgerald, Orbitex Financial Services Group and Apex Fund Services.
Mr. Strachman is the Co-Founder of the HEDGEAnswers online community and Operations for Alternatives event as well as the The Investment Management Due Diligence Association.
He is the author of nine books including: The Fundamentals of Hedge Fund Management “First Edition” (Wiley 2007), “Second Edition” (Wiley 2012), Getting Started in Hedge Funds “First Edition” (Wiley 2000), “Second Edition” (Wiley 2005) and “Third Edition” (Wiley 2010), The Long and Short of Hedge Fund (Wiley 2008) and Essential Stock Picking Strategies (Wiley 2002), which was named by Barron’s as one of the ten best investment books of the year. His is also the author of Julian Robertson: A Tiger in the land of Bulls and Bears (Wiley 2004). His articles have appeared in The New York Post, The Financial Times, The Boston Globe as well as various trade publications around the world.
Mr. Strachman graduated from Clark University with a Bachelor of Arts in 1993 and is a graduate of the Chapel Hill-Chauncy Hall School where he currently serves on the Board of Trustees, is a member of the Executive committee and Chairs the Audit committee and the Diversity Equity Inclusion and Wellness committee.
