I agree with your assessment Ayelet. Great idea but not sure why a major company like Netflix can't do it better. Or what if Microsoft created this and gave it away free bundled into Skype or Windows (a common tactic for the tech giant).
@[Edward Lerner](user:138550), what really differentiates your product from what others have and what's to stop another company from replicating it?
But it seems you are discounting the lives that will be lost by keeping the economy open and flowing. Don't you think the infections and death rates could skyrocket?
A simple proof - you said you live in Israel. I see there were heavy restrictions and as a result, very few infections and deaths. Most of America by contrast did not, and as a result the country has over 3 million infections and nearly 150,000 deaths. I realize Israel is smaller, but per capita, the numbers speak for themselves.
I've seen some of these stats thrown around but they are really all over the place. There's no definitive correlation. Deaths can easily be explained by other factors and you don't acknowledge the deaths saved. Without restrictions, deaths could easily be in the millions. And of course all the other deaths. During lockdown crime was down, car accidents were down, everything was down.
He may be assuming, but offers no proof. Some may die, sure, but not nearly as many as would die from Covid-19. In fact I would argue that the lockdowns are likely saving more lives. Not just from Covid-19, but from other diseases and even other deaths from things like car accidents.
Actually, while they the US debt is partially owed to China, about 2/3 of the US debt is actually owed to Americans retirements - via borrowing the money for social security.

Play up the danger??? With 3 million infected in the US and half a million dead worldwide, it sounds to me like the danger is very real.
With all due respect, perhaps you are the one playing DOWN the danger, no?
