Christian Hviid is a senior investment leader with Fifth Third Private Bank. He serves as Director, Regional Portfolio Management. Christian leads a team of investment professionals that help clients manage their investments to help accomplish important life and financial milestones. Prior to joining Fifth Third, Christian worked as Senior Vice President, Senior Investment Strategist with Wells Fargo Private Bank. Before joining Wells Fargo, Christian worked as Chief Investment Officer at WealthStone. Prior to that he started, grew and exited Point Guard Capital as Chief Investment Strategist, and going back further he served as Chief Market Strategist for Genworth Financial Asset Management, part of AssetMark in Los Angeles, CA. He held other prior roles where he built experience around asset allocation, risk management, securities analysis, manager due diligence and trading. Christian contributed experience at both private and public financial company merger and acquisition deal teams. He began his career in FinTech being a financial software, database and analytics product developer and consultant to academia as well as global equity and fixed income money managers, hedge funds and private equity firms. Christian earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration concentrating in Accounting and Finance from American University. He was an athletic scholarship recipient and participated in Division I Swimming where he was named Scholar Athlete every year. Christian swam professionally for many years in Spain where he grew up. He also earned his Master of Science in Finance graduating summa cum laude also from American University. Christian earned his Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA®) designation in 2004. He is multi-lingual. Christian is a member of the CFA Institute, a member of CFA Society Washington, DC, and is a Board Member and Past President of the CFA Society Columbus. He is also a member of the Professional Council of The Columbus Foundation, and is also a member of the Copenhagen Institute for Future Studies.
