Blogs That Sell As an Affiliate Marketer

Date: Monday, December 11, 2017 3:19 AM EDT

You might have plans to start your blog, you probably also have ideas of integrating it with one of these e-commerce stores like Amazon, eBay, Shopify, etc. And you are wondering what type of website do I need to have to drive sales or convert my traffic?

There is no shortcut to this type of business, and everyone into it knows. It is no longer the who has the best product to sell but whose blog look more appealing and can easily convert.

To be able to own a blog that sells, and be readily accepted as an affiliate marketer to the various e-commerce stores we have mentioned, you need to be to do these things;

  • Content

There is the usual saying “content is king," it has never been more accurate.

Blogs exist for the writers and readers of that blog to interact with each other and share opinions on the type and quality of conversation that exist on it. If your content is engaging enough, you will begin to build loyal visitors to your blog and lifelong fans.

As the year role by and with more of your contents, people begin to respect your opinion over the years; you can start by introducing new products that are very effective on the niche you are referred to as an authority since you write about it.

In other words, even though it is a hard but stressful process, blogs like that last long and are readily accepted by Amazon and eBay affiliate programs.

  • Traffic

eBay specifically are very strict on traffic before accepting new affiliates to their platform. According to Kim Diamond, an author on Atarlife, eBay wouldn't even register you as an affiliate if you don't have a website or your site has not been fully launched with enough traffic.

Getting traffic is very important to blogs, and you affiliate partnerships with e-commerce stores because it determines how much you can convert some of this traffic to actual sales in the long run. Traffic can come from paid or BOTs (do not use). Most traffic comes from contents, online and offline SEO blogs.

  • Search Engine Optimization SEO

SEO usually consist of online and offline site optimization to maximize the potential of every blog post. It starts with writing blog post that is SEO optimized with relevant keywords and tags that goes with it. Metadata, subtitles are also positioned to support the push for an effective SEO optimized site. Offline SEO tactics might include backlinks from high domain authority websites through guest posting or sharing of links.

To build a useful site that sells takes hard work and dedication. It also involves following the rules of the affiliate marketing site your patronize to avoid blacklisting of your site and nonpayment of commission due to a breach of their terms of service.
