Mr. Townes is the Head of Business Development for Verition. He is responsible for the sourcing and due diligence of portfolio managers and investment strategies for the firm. Prior to joining Verition, Mr. Townes was a Partner with an executive search firm, where he helped build and lead the hedge fund business globally. Previously, he was Vice President at Topwater Capital, a Division of Leucadia Asset Management. In his role there, he led the firm's efforts in the sourcing and due diligence of hedge fund managers across a variety of strategies and asset classes. Mr. Townes holds a Bachelor of Arts from Pennsylvania State University, and he is a CAIA Charterholder.less
