Have over 25 years of work experience in Bangladesh and South Asian gas and energy markets, delivering knowledge and insight for clients internationally. I have in depth knowledge of the Bangladeshi gas and energy sector, including the gas production, imports and demand sectors as well as national energy policy and strategy. I also have been working on the issues of climate change including the prospects for clean hydrogen in Bangladesh. In addition to work experiences in Bangladesh, I also have deep expertise in South Asian regional energy markets and trade as well as wider Southeast Asian energy markets. I have published works with a number of high-profile organisations including S&P Global Commodity Insights, Gas Outlook, The Financial Express, Natural Gas World and Interfax Global Energy. I am an Alumni of East West Centre and Thomson Reuters Foundation. I covered 70th UN General Assembly held in New York in September 2015,filed and published stories for my newspaper. Visited a number of coal-fired power plants and related infrastructures of India in September 2014. I took part in a three -week journalism training Programme in London titled “Writing Business News” organized by the Reuters Foundation of the UK from June 10-July 2, 2006. Participated in Winter 2006 Jefferson Fellowship Program organized by East West Centre of the USA from February 2-25, 2006 that covered visiting USA, Pakistan, India and Hong Kong. The theme of the Fellowship was “South Asia Shining.” I visited Sydney, New Castle and Hunter Valley of Australia to see the state of art technology in coal mining and its impact on the Australian economy during November 19-29, 2005. I visited Singapore and Thailand in a media familiarization trip during June 2-11, 2004. I participated in a four-day South Asian Journalists’ Workshop on Good Urban Governance organized jointly by the United Nations’ Development Programme (UNDP) and The Urban Governance Initiative (TUGI) held in New Delhi, India from August 17-20, 2003. I took part in a three-day South Asian Journalists’ Workshop on Water and Sanitation for the Poor organized jointly by the WSSSC, FEJI, IDFC and ICRISAT in Hyderabad of India from June 30-July 2, 2003.less
