After a bout with prostate cancer, I realized that health and fitness are what matters most.
I've reinvented myself by rebuilding my body and retrained my mind. I am now stronger than I was at age 30 and almost as fit. I will be finishing the coursework towards a degree in Exercise Science (Physiology) in January. I'm proud to be working in Wellness as a American College of Sports Medicine, Certified Personal Trainer (ACSM-CPT) at the New Canaan, Connecticut YMCA. My colleagues include some seriously over-qualified professionals, all of them great people, with many trainers with various levels of Exercise Science or Nutrition in their backgrounds.
I am looking forward after graduation to continue in Wellness and/or clinical exercise. My parents never understood exercise. I was viewed by the neighbors as the evil son who would force his mother to do a daily walk and Tai Chi exercises. so, I want to help other people my age and the elderly to rediscover vibrant good health and the freedom of fitness and strength.
