As a eternal optimist, I specialise in building relationships with a focus on how we can help each other succeed. The success I've had throughout my career has been built on a foundation of teamwork & collaboration, isn't it more fun to achieve things as a team rather than as an individual?
One of my best attributes is curiosity, this is what gets me up in the morning and keeps me going through the tougher times. That curiosity leads me to places where I can ask myself questions and want to try new things - the foremost area of passion for me is around learning & readiness and how I can use that to gain an advantage and drive $ improvements. I've had the same conversation with so many new joiners, and the word overwhelmed often comes up. Armed with this, one of my best achievements in the last 18 months has been rolling out an on-boarding program for new hires, with the primary focus on making the most out of those crucial first 180 days and setting the new hire up for long-term success.
What is the most difficult thing about the first 6 months in a new role? From my perspective, it's knowing where to go for guidance and help - relationships take time to build so a buddy mentor and a repository of knowledge are crucial during this time. I've just finished building a global playbook for new hires, condensing learning & readiness content from over 35 repositories into one, easy to access location and it's one of my proudest achievements to date.
I'm always open to connect and converse around my experience, what I've learned and what the future has in store.
