Mike is conflating corruption and poor fiscal managements (tax collection, transparency) with Socialism. It belies a fundamental lack of knowledge about the topic he is writing about. A lot of corruption in capitalist, communist, and facist systems out there too. A lot of great socialist governments, as well, example: Norway. The lazy attempt to lasso in birth-rates at the end to give the article some heft was not successful. The premise was so absurd that I sadly clicked the click. Shame on me.
