Highly skilled and motivated client-facing investment and research professional with depth of experience in quantitative research and investment management in asset allocation, quantitative fixed income and currencies at global asset managers. Some key achievements include: • Led the development of and launched active factor based strategies in TAA, quantitative credit in IG and HY and Emerging market currencies across both SSgA and GMO. • Developed, launched and managed a successful factor based (smart beta) systematic fixed income business as an independent revenue source within one of the world’s largest asset managers. • Established credibility and collaborated with institutional clients and consultants to develop solutions that were new to both firms in TAA, customized LDI, diversified credit and distressed emerging market local debt among others. • Established systematic credit and multi sector solutions based products and capabilities in a global hedge fund. • Successfully delivered on investment goals within firms of extremely different complexity, size and culture. Articulating the investment purpose of quantitatively complex solutions is a particular skill and I have a record of establishing credibility with sophisticated institutional investors and consultants. This has then led to the co-development and seed of several institutional grade investment solutions to complex multi asset and multi objective portfolio problems. As a portfolio manager I have managed diverse portfolios in currencies, multi asset fixed income, systematic credit and LDI. I have delivered consistent outperformance by careful execution of quantitative strategies incorporating market realities and costs and bringing that knowledge back into evolving strategy design.
