Mr Naegel, you know very little about the Middle East. You may be surprised to know that it is Israel that provides Gazans with food, electricity, water, even free medical care in Israel. Even now, during a war, they are treating countless Gazans in Israeli hospitals which were already overwhelmed by Hama's attack. The only thing Hamas gives the Gazans is destruction. They care nothing for their people and give them nothing.
Here is another Israeli Arab who is very well known. You should see what he has to say. Listen to people who actually live here.
And yes, sometimes Israelis look at me with suspicion. By why wouldn't they when people who look like me are always trying to kill them? I do not begrudge this. Even I get nervous when a fellow Arab gets on a bus - we sometimes get killed in terror attacks too. And while too many brothers in Gaza are killed by Israeli reprisals, I know those would stop the second Hamas put down their weapons. But the second Israel puts down theirs, is the day they are destroyed.
You are the one who needs to open yours eyes. I invite you to come visit me in East Jerusalem to learn more about life here. And I can even arrange for you to visit Gaza if you'd like, though I would not be so foolish as to join you there as I value my life.
Do you know what an Apartheid state means? Clearly not. I am an Israeli Arab and live here, so I think I would have a better idea than you. It is not always easy here in Israel, but I have equal rights, and I would never trade places and live in Gaza and I feel for my brothers under Hamas' rule. My cousin is gay - not my chosen life style but he would be killed in Gaza. My sister does not cover her hair - she would be killed as well. We have far more freedom in Israel than we'd have any place else in the Middle East.
I also make about 10x the salary here in Israel. I have the same rights as any Israeli and I can vote. That is the OPPOSITE of an apartheid state. Israel has many shortcomings, we don't need you making up fakes ones to try to bolster your anti-Israel agenda.
