There's a glaring problem with this article. It assumes that Minneapolis got their calculations correct regarding what Uber and Lyft must pay drivers per mile. Also, they are tipped workers.
In MN, tipped minuimum wage is the same as non-tipped minimum wage. Is it fair that the dishwasher's minimum is the same as the server's minimum wage when the server gets tips and the dishwasher gets no part of it?
I have a hard time believing MN got it right. I know UBER drivers that tell me they make pretty good money even with car depreciation and they choose to keep their jobs over other opportunities.
