Over fifteen years of progressive experience in the Finance/Investment industry. Took the lead in the strategic planning, documentation, execution and ongoing adherence of department policies, processes, and procedures. Involved in attaining SOC I Type II and SSAE18 certifications and managing the annual audits/examinations for thirteen years. Successfully onboarded over 150 Real Estate and Hedge Funds in a year becoming a subject matter expert. Gained an in-depth understanding of the capital (debt and/or equity) used to finance commercial and residential Real Estate Funds to ensure that the debt was accurately being accreted or amortized. Analyzed Broker Price Opinions (BPO’s), CBRE commercial property appraisals and REIT corporate financial reports to update the valuations of three Real Estate Funds with assets under management (AUM) ranging from $100 million to $750 million. Managed and coached three teams of six, eight and twelve staff who were responsible for the day-to-day accounting, financial reporting, and cash management for Private Equity and Real Estate clients with an average of $500 million to $1 billion AUM. Managed a team of twelve staff as the Fund Controller for a Private Equity Fund with over $400 billion AUM and strictly followed ILPA guidelines.
