@[David Zanoni](user:25795), great piece. I too think #Facebook is killing it right now and has many years of growth ahead of it. But for those not wanting to hold the stock for the long term, these are great alternatives to make money now. $FB
All good points, though I had always assume automation would open up a new wave of jobs in other related areas. Such as tech support, sales, an robotic repair. Of course those jobs need far more education than flipping or serving burgers.
I agree that the human interaction is an integral part of the dining experience, but further technical integration is inevitable. And it can help bring down the cost of eating out. Why would technology shrink the #GDP? Can you please elaborate?
While I agree with everything you've said, I believe the biggest factor at play for those who voted to exit is immigration. You only mentioned immigration in passing but it is my understanding that nearly 2 million immigrants have flooded into the UK, taking jobs, influencing culture etc. And of course terrorists disguised as migrants is a major fear. I'm not saying I share that view myself, just stating it played a major role in the vote.
Thanks for all your comments. And while you are all correct, I suspect that $AMZN is looking to vertically integrate and become a competing shipping industry. Just as they decided to become their own web hosting company and became a dominant player in that space. I suspect they will not only drop UPS, but will begin to compete with it. That could crush $UPS.
