John DeLauro recently joined TalkMarkets as the company's VP of Strategic Partnerships. John helps to expand TM's value by seeking out and negotiating partnerships with synergistic companies and other leaders in innovation. John also drives traffic to TM by negotiating content and traffic swaps with financial media, brokers, equity exchanges, market data firms and others.
John has extensive experience in financial media, market data, fintech and financial markets. Prior to TalkMarkets John was Director of Business Development at Seeking Alpha. He was a senior sales executive at Bloomberg where he sold complex software to sell-side firms, buy-side firms, private equity, banks and C-Suite corporate executives. At Bloomberg he also lead advertising sales for a unique multi-media program that combined the Bloomberg Professional Terminal with Bloomberg Markets Magazine.
Prior Bloomberg he was Associate Publisher of EuroMoney/Institutional Investor’s Infrastructure Finance Magazine. He was Director of Sales and Marketing for Institutional Investor’s “Derivatives Monitor,” a real-time data and news service for OTC derivatives traders. He was the Regional Manager of Sales for Thomson Financial’s International Finance Review, weekly research on global primary capital markets. His diverse career path also includes stints as an a retail investment advisor and an importer/distributor of international wines in Los Angeles. He acquired and operated Louie’s Bookstore Cafe, a restaurant, bar, bakery, bookstore and music venue in Baltimore’s Mt Vernon neighborhood. A native of Denver, CO, John has a BA in Philosophy from the University of Colorado.
