Can anyone in their right mind explain why the Democrats would provide campaign funds to a Trumpian republican candidate with the thought that such a candidate would be easier to defeat than a different republican candidate. That is what is being reported.
That is a terribly shortsighted strategy. It is also a week strategy and one that is hard to defend from a purely moral or mathematical standpoint.
Or have the Democrats already forgotten how Bill Clinton's advice to Donald Trump helped put us in the situation we are currently in.
Quit being stupid, you democrats. Invest in your own candidates, not those you think you can defeat.
Stupid, stupid, stupid.
I saw that on the news as well, I think it was CNN. The analyst said it was cunning, but a dishonest move. It does seem counter intuitive, but I do get the logic...
Apparently it was in a place that was very anti-Trump. So if they can help get the pro-Trump candidate to win the primary, the Democrat will have an easy time of winning the election. But if the other GOP candidate wins the primary, they'll have a much harder time winning.
