Dan has a Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics from Brown University and is also a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst. He has worked as a research scientist (developing advanced pattern recognition applications) and as a software engineer. His industry experience began in 1982 with Raytheon's Digital Systems Group and has since included work at Bell Communications Research, New England Technology Group, Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution's Deep Submergence Lab, Third Level Data (a dot com startup), Spectra Systems, Spectral Products, Mathematical Technologies, Inc. and Advanced Image Enhancement, Inc. In 2003, Dan worked with Gotham Research on the development of an online trading and information management system. In 2004, he joined Gotham Research, a boutique institutional brokerage in Manhattan, as a Managing Partner and Director of Research. Since November of 2006, Dan has been working on financial product design and development with a number of small start-ups as well as continuing his work in medical imaging as CTO of Advanced Image Enhancement, Inc.
