Forget the flying car. Many tried it before, people just don't buy it. Until the problems are solved, it is just an too expensive toy: a poor car, not a good airplane. Solve the problems first --> Make landing outside airstrips possible, think of a gyrocopter perhaps?. A normal car is an unbeateble all weather vehicle. So, find a solution for flying in Icing conditions and other weather issues like fog, snow, rain, strong winds.
