Ari H. Wald, CFA, CMT is Managing Director and a member of the Institutional Portfolio Strategy team at Oppenheimer & Co., providing Technical Analysis. Ari joined the firm from Wolfe Research where he was Vice President and Head of Technical Analysis. Prior to that, he was a member of the Institutional Portfolio Strategy team at Brown Brothers Harriman. Ari graduated from Rutgers University with a B.S. in Statistics and Mathematics. He is a CFA charterholder, holds the CMT designation, is licensed for the Series 7, 24, 63, 86, and 87 FINRA exams, and is actively involved with the Market Technicians Association. He was a winner in the 2014, 2016, 2018, 2019, and 2020 Technical Analyst Awards including Technical Analyst of the Year in 2016. Ari makes frequent guest appearances on CNBC, Bloomberg, and BNN, and is often quoted in the Wall Street Journal, Barron’s, Reuters, and other media outlets. He currently resides outside of NYC in Tenafly, NJ with his wife and three sons and is originally from Philadelphia, PA. He also loves to ski!
