#COVID-19

The Markets Are Sending Confounding Messages

It's okay to ease fears. Example, I remember when the hysteria around the initial AIDS epidemic there were many campaigns to educate and ease fears by explaining how easy it was to avoid infection. We should ease people's fears - explain they can stay safe.

But being lied to? Absolutely not. I am a #Trump supporter but he causes more harm than good with some of his ridiculous statements regarding #COVID-19. He's become increasingly unstable and it's making me second guess my support before the upcoming election.

The problem with trying to determine anything statistical related to #COVID-19 is that there's so much conflicting info out there. It seems that anyone who wants to prove a point can find stats to back them up.

I do think we need someone tough to make sure we get good trade deals. But I do agree that when it comes to both #COVID-19 and the #riots, that #Trump is a destructive force.

I believe deaths are both being under-reported and over-reported, in different regions, in different ways and to differing degrees. It's too early to know which side is skewing the results more. I suspect it will be years before we know the true impact of #COVID-19.

@[DRM](user:130312), you said the flu kills more people than #COVID-19 but according to Reuters and AccuWeather, that's not true. COVID-19 has killed more people than any flu season since 1967. Here are the stats:

The coronavirus is officially recognized as #COVID-19. Why do you call it the Wuhan Respiratory Syndrome? Are you like #Trump who has taken to calling it the "China Virus?" Why not call it what it is?

I don't believe in conspiracies. But China could have and should have done more to warn the world about #COVID-19. Instead they tried to cover it up and arrested medical professionals who tried to sound the alarm. But blaming China or the WHO is simply an excuse to divert attention away from #Trump's inaction. There was still ample notice yet Trump did nothing.

These difficult times of #COVID-19 present more than just shorting opportunities. That are plenty of business that this tragedy has given a boost to. From pharma companies working on a vaccine, to online supermarkets and other suppliers, corporate video conferencing solutions, makers of cleaning supplies and protective gear, etc.
