Avoiding Stocks
More chop today with a side of weakness and the S&P is still holding support.
S&P Moves Up Off Support
A few more weeks of quiet trading would be for the best and give us the best chance of a breakout higher, although with the weak earnings we’re seeing more and more of, we may have a hard time.
Markets Crack, But Don't Crash
Weakness kicked off Friday and going to cash looks to have been the most prudent action on my part as we consolidate some.
Huge Earnings Beat For AMZN
The chop continued with early weakness followed by strength, followed by late weakness.
Muted Reaction To The Fed News
The Fed did nothing as expected and stocks remained very choppy as a result.
Resting
A quite quiet Friday and that’s great. Consolidation is best at this high level just below all-time highs so, we wait and see with a long biased view.
More Solid Action From Stocks
Another solid day for stocks who should continue to trend higher. I covered my final short today in TSLA for a little gain and now I am only long of stocks and looking to buy some more, but I’m not at all heavy at the moment.
Setting Up Well For Higher
While NFLX was weak on earnings numbers and increasing competition today, many stocks continued to act strong along with markets and we’re still a go for higher prices.
A Pretty Quiet Day
SPY is breaking this flag and close to new all-time highs and looking good but we do need a big boost in volume once we break former highs at 213.78.
Stocks Look Poised For More Upside
Stocks look good in general and I’m only short FB and TSLA now and they look ready for more downside but if not, I’ll be out.
Flustered
I’ve got buy levels and short levels ready to go, but which ones trigger my next trades only time will tell.
Feeble Breakouts, So Far
Another tough day to be short. We remain seeing some decent action to the upside which did see me have to cover my NFLX short position but I’m holding the rest, for now.
Stocks Look To Be Starting To Correct
It’s not breaking down yet but trying, and the 204 and 21 day average at 203.20 are key levels to hold.
Great Action All Around As We Round Hump Day
It’s not easy to sit through the weakness and there is no guarantee the strength will return but the uptrend remains intact.
SPY Uptrend Channel Has To Hold Now
We opened with a good sized gap down but leading stocks took off higher as soon as we opened and performed well for the most part with TSLA being my best performer today.
Typical Early Week Action
We kicked the week off on a bit of a weak note but then support levels held well and we began to bounce back.
