Every American and citizen of the world should watch Donald Trump's speech before a joint session of the Congress, as he addressed the "State of the Union."[2] Discourteous is an understatement.[3] It is among the many reasons why lots of us left the Democratic Party, and will never go back.
Trump eviscerated the Democrats from the moment his speech began, and he never stopped.[4] Was it a moment in history? Undoubtedly.[5] Initial polling would confirm that fact.[6] He even mocked the lying "Pocahontas"[7], in the process of laying out his "common sense" vision for the country.[8]
Aside from the Democrats—who suffer from "Trump derangement syndrome"[9]—not everyone loved the speech[10], which means that it achieved its objectives. As the late comedian and actor Jackie Gleason used to say: "How Sweet It Is."[11] Needless to say, former President "Comatose" Joe Biden was skewered in the process.
