A Blessed Day

Date: Monday, January 20, 2025 3:04 PM EST

By Timothy D. Naegele[1]

Today is the first day of the rest of our lives, and a day that will be enshrined in history.[2]  Donald Trump, our 45th President, has become our 47th President; and his speech to the nation and the world after being sworn in was brilliant.[3]

We endured a four-year hiatus or ''living Hell," when no one who is "coherent" occupied our White House; and an America-hater Barack Obama and his acolytes effectively ran things, along with Biden's "Rasputin" Jill.[4]. They cringed when Trump described their reign of incompetence and criminality.

Could anyone imagine four years ago that we would be enmeshed in at least three wars: in Ukraine with Vladimir Putin's Russia; in Israel, with its neighbors[5]; and in Taiwan and elsewhere with Xi Jinping's China?  Is World War III far away?

Almost everything that could go wrong has.  We have enemies globally that are not dunces.  They have very sophisticated spying operations; and while many or most Americans are focused on their day-to-day living if not survival, our enemies are focused on defeating us.

COVID, the HMPV virus and Fentanyl are from China.  They kill—there are no doubts about that.  When vicious gang members cross our borders and flaunt their power, they kill too.  Governmental incompetence kills as well; the fires in California have underscored that in spades.[6]

Essentially overnight, Joe Biden and the "Biden Family Crime Syndicate" and their co-conspirators (e.g., Merrick Garland, Christopher Wray, Jack Smith, Juan Merchan) turned things upside down.  And make no mistake about it, they will fight anything and everything that Donald Trump, JD Vance and their administration do.  A loss of power is an anathema to them.[7]

Donald Trump's Inaugural Address seeks to move our great nation and its people—all of them—to a bright future ahead.  Those who fail to embrace it will fall behind, as creatures of a bygone era.  Some of us began as Democrats, but left the party when it moved so far to the Left as to be unrecognizable.[8]

Trump's ideas are bold.  The challenges are great.  Will some very capable Americans rise to the occasion, and not linger in the past?[9]  It's time to think "outside of the box," as President Trump has been doing.  His election victory was something to behold.  He swept the country.  And yes, we are Americans: each and every one of us.[10]

Lastly, Trump haters never seem to go away.  Will he be able to accomplish everything that needs to be done to set our great nation on a path to recovery, in his four-year term?  Will other attempts be made on his life?[11]  We can only hope that God is with him and us.

I was leaving the U.S. Senate for the private practice of law; and I was in the Senate committee room for Joe Biden's first day.  His wife Neilia and daughter Naomi had been killed in a tragic auto accident one month before, and our hearts went out to him.

Fast forward to today, and his political career has been one disaster after another.  He has been booted from the White House by Barack Obama, Nancy Pelosi and other Democrats, which is why Jill Biden is livid.  His "farewell speech" puts the best face on his failed, criminal presidency.

See, e.g., https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-14290077/Joe-Biden-farewell-speech-white-house.html ("Biden, 82, issues ominous warnings about Trump and Elon Musk in farewell speech after 50 years in politics") and

Man-made "global warming" is a hoax.  Our planet has gone through warming and cooling cycles for millions of years, which will continue after each of us and our inheritors are long gone from the Earth.

Pollution is a separate issue, with India and China being the biggest polluters on the planet.

Some of us who have voted for President Trump three times disagree with him regarding the Apartheid state of Israel.

See supra n.5.

[11]  Our country is in shambles.  Homelessness has reached epidemic levels, as has crime.  Our infrastructure has deteriorated (e.g., many of our roads are like those in third-world countries}; and our woke military must be replaced by a superb fighting force.  Clearly, the task will not be easy; and the opposition will be fierce.

For example, a highly-respected retired professional who achieved the highest ranks at a major American university has "wish[ed] us all good luck in surviving the upcoming political chaos that starts tomorrow with Trump 2.0."   Like the wife of a dear college friend who was very cordial when we met, until I mentioned Donald Trump's name—and the conversation turned icy cold—this person seems to suffer from TDS or "Trump derangement syndrome."
