Disposable income is at its lowest level in decades and the US population is depleting savings and investment assets in order to keep themselves afloat. With this in mind, this holiday is going to be difficult, especially for younger generations. So, what can we expect people to buy most?

Gifts for family and gifts for children rank the highest for non-negotiable items, even at the buyer’s own expense. In order to make this happen, 82% of people say they will try to cut down on their own essentials like groceries. Therefore, this holiday season, retailers need to advertise their products much smarter. If your business wants to capture the most income possible this holiday season, it’s to especially emphasize the value their catalogue brings for the everyday consumer.
