Why not live forever? It may seem like a silly, esoteric question to ask.

Yet, why do babies die? Life is precious, but perilous too. Wars, diseases, famine, accidents, old age and other deaths are all-consuming. But if God truly loves us, why does any being have to die?

What about our beloved dogs and other animals, whose lives are relatively short? They are here, and they bless us. Then they are gone, seemingly in the blink of an eye.[2]

What's it all about, Alfie?[3]

This is a season of rejoicing by some many around the world. Yet, earth-shaking, incomprehensible crimes and atrocities are rampant. Many of our fellow beings are homeless, and the shelters are full. God's guidance is needed more than ever.
