By Timothy D. Naegele[1]
Here, there and everywhere. Omnipotent, omniscient, omnipresent.[2]
When you see magnificent clouds in the sky, or a sunrise or sunset, intuitively you know God is responsible. When you see a bird in flight, you know it too. From gigantic whales in the oceans, to the most minute—and sometimes-annoying—insects, you know that you and they are blessed. Without God, none of this would exist.
When you lose someone, or a beloved animal, often there's a gaping hole in your heart. You and they were traveling this journey called Life together, and your loved one has left you.[3] But your paths will cross again, rest assured of that.[4]
And when bad things happen to otherwise-good people? What then? When barbaric wars and unfathomable madness and helter skelter occur, did God mean that for good too? Are there lessons to be learned?[5]
When devastating fires ripped through Los Angeles recently, and old friends lost everything, what is the meaning of that, and the lessons to be learned? By trusting God, we take timid steps forward, one at a time.
And what about the homeless, and the children of the homeless who were born into that status through no fault of their own?[6] Perhaps "Footprints in the Sand" said it best:[7]

Last but not least, expect the unexpected.[8]
