Some People Are Illiterate

They can't help it.  I sat across from such a person at lunch yesterday, who proceeded to tell those at our table that Donald Trump had not been shot.[2]  He went on to trash Trump; and finally, I couldn't stand him or his gibberish anymore, so I let him have it.

Two of the people at our table had spent part of their lives in Russia; and we talked about the war in Ukraine too.  He was equally illiterate about that subject; and the two of them are my witnesses.  Normally, I let an ignoramus like him pass[3], but not today.  It's difficult to suffer fools lightly.

Am I intolerant of the views held by others, especially if they differ from my own?  Maybe the last election galvanized the MAGA and Trump faithful.  Yes, I disagree vehemently with the President on some subjects.[4]  But by and large I agree with him, as most Americans do.

"Comatose" Joe Biden and his Democrats plunged us ever so close to the edge of an abyss, of unfathomable depths.  Only with hard work and the Grace of God will we avoid the perils that were in store for us.

This Democrat suffers from "Trump derangement syndrome," which is true of most of them.[5]. I first encountered it in a college friend's wife when Trump began running for the presidency.  Lots of us left that party years ago, and will never vote for another one, as a matter of principle.  I am an Independent, and proud to be one.

. . .

Putting this into perspective, a "MISSING" notice was taped to a post in the parking lot outside of where I get my laundry, saying that a thirteen-year-old Hispanic boy was missing in a town nearby.  I hope and pray that he is safe and well, and found unharmed.

. . .

A woman just took down the notice, and told me that they found him, "sleeping in a bush," thank God!
