Most of us have used cellphones and computers for large portions of our lives, and have come to depend on them. They are given to little kids from the earliest of ages, almost as pacifiers, to quiet them and keep them occupied. And yes too, to educate and enrich their lives. Never did we realize that such devices might be killing them and us, each time they are used. Whoa, you say. That's pretty serious and scary. But it's true.[2]
The threshold question is whether any of the devices are truly safe, and whether the cumulative effects of using such devices is to kill us or our loved ones, by "frying" us and giving us cancers and other insidious disabilities. Will health insurance cover these effects; and should class action lawsuits be brought against the cellphone and computer makers for what they have done? Surely, they knew a long time ago what the harmful effects were.
For the most part, cellphones and computers are made in China or South Korea, depending on whether Apple or Samsung devices are used. Long ago, the United States abdicated its technology leadership to these two Asian countries. One is our mortal enemy that gave us the COVID pandemic and may launch World War III; and the other is our ally, and our shield against Kim Jong Un overrunning the Korean peninsula.[3]
