Greek Suicide Rate Surges 35% In 2 Years
That shows how lenient the government allowed Greece to become. Look here in the United States who gets to retire at age 52? The most an american can hope to retire is at age 67 or 65 if they want to retire earlier. Even then most don't even have the money to retire at that age anyways.
Tsipras Calls July 5 Referendum On Creditors’ Demands; Merkel Says No Alternative To Creditor's "Generous" Offer
I think many people knew years ago that Greece would ultimately default. It was a matter of time, and we even saw it when the Greeks in the election voted for Tspiras because he promised not to do any more Austerity. The truth is that Greeks don't want to give up their early retirement and they don't want to reduce any pensions. They would much rather default than keep doing Austerity. IMO I don't think a deal will go through and Greece will more than likely default. As you stated people in Athens are lining up at the banks pulling out their money they see the writing on the wall so to say.

Endo Pays $8B For Par Pharmaceuticals To Expand Product Pipeline
In the short term quite possibly but I'm sure management is looking at it longer term. I mean Par has 100 products of its own in the market along with 115 pending FDA approvals. So I would have to say it was quite a good deal if you think over a long-term period.
Shares Of Aerie Pharmaceuticals Drop 70% In After Hours After Reporting Disappointing Phase 3 Results
my take is that the fact that Aerie will probably have to run another phase 3 trial and work the FDA on a new trial design
Athersys Fails Stroke Trial In Mid-Stage Study
It's all russian roulette now for Athersys. I guess you could claim I'm being negative I'm just stating facts. Company didn't meet on either endpoints.
The company now has to hope that the FDA will allow it to continue another trial in a subcategory which is a big "if". Even then the company now must await the fate of their partner Chugai who will decide if they even want to continue.
I'm just telling investors to be cautious because no longer are investors putting their money into the science. Now its in the hands of the FDA and Chugai. A rejection from both would be a huge blow for Athersys. It's possible it could go the other way but investors have to decide if its worth the risk?
Why Is There A Common Perception That The Stock Market Is Rigged?
I would be inclined to agree with you on this article. But the thing is that the stock market is not rigged in terms of which direction it flows. It is rigged in the sense that individual stocks are manipulated with wishy-washy headlines made for the purpose of dragging stocks one direction or another. The market movement is fine as it is made up of a mix of high-frequency computers, traders, investors and money managers. But the SEC needs to get a handle on individual stock manipulation.
