On a lark, I made short video last Friday (June 13th) with my reaction to the initial attack by Israel on Iran during the night. People seemed to like it so I continued doing these updates throughout the week. I’ve accumulated a few thousand views across the various platforms on which I posted them. For the most part they are straight news to give people a sense of what’s happening on the ground here in Israel. But you all know me, if I continue this, at some point my opinions are going to start seeping in!

On a totally separate topic, I listened to an excellent podcast this week that I wanted to share as a “must listen”. It’s an episode of the Ezra Klein Show where Ezra interviews congresswoman Sarah McBride. McBride is the first openly trans member of congress. She is a class act. She has risen above the fray of cruel haters with grace, dignity and an abundance of wisdom. We can all learn something from her thoughtful, compassionate and hopeful approach to dealing with all sorts of people. Especially poignant is her ability to navigate differing opinions and ideas even, or especially, when they can be very difficult and sometimes painful.
