Melanie has over 20 years of proven success in marketing and communications in the financial and technology industries. Prior to joining TalkMarkets Melanie consulted to one of the leading manufacturers of fine men’s and boys’ apparel in the US. Melanie served as Vice-President of Global Marketing & Communications for Cantor Fitzgerald for over five years where her key responsibilities included internal and external communications, developing global media campaigns, brand awareness, strategic marketing, event management and new business development. Melanie created and oversaw all public relations and communications for Cantor businesses, and their most senior officers. Previously Melanie worked at Thomson Reuters, managing marketing and communications for their collaboration group. Prior to this Melanie was responsible for overseeing the creation of IP based products at Net2Phone. Melanie’s entrepreneurial experience also includes founding, raising capital for and successfully selling ChatOverIP.com, an Internet start-up, in 2001. Additionally, Melanie has held management roles at Deloitte & Touche and 3Com Canada. Melanie holds a BA from York University in Toronto, and a Public Relations Diploma from the University of Toronto.less
