Earlier, prior to the financial crisis in 2008, he had received a job offer to work at Bear Stearns, before pursuing a career in technology. His father had a long career at Morgan Stanley as an equity analyst. He studied at Santa Clara University and Harvard Business School. He first got started in technology when he founded an angel-investor backed startup in Silicon Valley while in university.
