New year, new tax season. These are the deadlines for C-Corps, Partnerships and S-Corps. While the first deadlines have already passed, this tax deadline calendar can guide you through the rest of the tax season. This goes beyond accounting month-end close.
On January 31st, payments for employers and independent contractors came due. The next day on February 1st, federal and state returns extensions came due. This is an opt-out deadline, useful for those waiting on foreign investment information. Tomorrow, on February 22nd, the submission of financial documents for Partnerships and S-corps are due. By the end of the month, 1099s and 1099-DIVs are due.
The calendar continues until December. Most people think of tax season ending in the middle of April, but the truth for startups is that it is a yearlong affair. Both federally and in the state of Delaware (where many companies incorporate), taxes are a complicated affair. Use this calendar to keep you on track.
