Sunday's Update
•Telcos are up because guru Rida Morwa is tipping ATT, BCE, T-mobile, Verizon, and Algonquin, also doubling yields with dangerous options. Be careful. We own AQN of Canada, VZ, T, and BCE but I am satisfied with the yield for holding these stocks without using options. BCE pays a divvie of 5.4% which is sufficient, and moreover raises its payout annually.
• Bank of Nova Scotia pays out 4.3% and its divvie is well backed by earnings and may be raised.
• Nio delivered 10,000 vehicles in Q1, up 4.2% from last year, which boosted its share price in Asia today by a modest .63%. This will become bigger when Wall Street opens, I think. Tesla also delivered more cars but not as many as forecast.
• Asia Investor today put a sell on Plug Power.
• Fibra Uno rose 7.12% last month. Azure Power, AZRE, rose 5.05%. PROSUS rose 4.32% (PROSY). Banco Santander (SAN) jumped 3.11%. Sampo Oyj rose 2.3%. Naspers gained 3.41% (NPS). Nintendo (NTDOY) jumped 2.9%. Nutrien rose 2.5%. Petrobras (PBR) jumped 2%, our last buy in Q1.
• Grifols, GRFS, is up 2.53%; Illumina is up 2.4%; Mercado Libre (MELI) is up 4.01%. Lazard (LAZ) rose 1.6%. Insurer ABB rose 1.53%.
